On Wednesday 30th January, St Benedict’s held a celebration dinner to mark our Senior Footballers’ remarkable victory in the U16 Ulster Corn Cuchullain Championship. The players, their families, staff and governors enjoyed a tasty supper before retiring to the Assembly Hall where they met our Special Guest, Tyrone Footballer and current GAA All Star, Padraig Hampsey. Padraig then engaged in a Q and A session hosted by St Benedict’s coach and Tyrone star Kieran McGeary. After a lively and insightful discussion the players were then presented with their medals, a commemorative framed photo and an embroidered jersey to ensure their achievement will live long in their memory. Congratulations to all the boys on their fantastic achievement. We are all very proud of you.
