Storying Telling Event

Year 8 St. Benedict’s pupils celebrated Good Relations Week with an intercultural fusion of stories and music with Kate Corkery and Winston Nzinga, an Irish/Afro-Caribbean duo of storytellers and musicians, known as Spud and Yam.

Together they presented a lively feast of traditional tales, music and song. The storytellers are involved in the Armstrong Storytelling bursary which funded the teenage storytelling event last year with Liz Weir and Pat Ryan. The following pupils were presented with certificates for their participation and successful completion of the cross-community event. Ellie Johnston, Caragh O'Boyle, Charlotte Neeson , John O'Boyle, Rosie Hawthorne, Katie Kirkpatrick, Aoife Lemon, Matus Podracky, Aaron O'Neill, Kristina Kovacova, Maya Patterson and Julia Zdonek.
