St Benedict's Pupils and parents attended a Year 11 Information Evening on Thursday 4th October. Principal, Mrs. McAteer, introduced her vision and mantra for the Year 11 pupils and outlined how the school would support them to be "happy, safe and successful."
The transition to Key Stage 4 and the new examination system was explained in detail by the curriculum manager, Mr. Shivers. His input was followed by a presentation by the Year head, Mr. Bonnes, who explained how the school would support pupils and parents to achieve GCSE success and secure a minimum of five or more GCSEs including English and Maths.
Parents gratefully received an information pack which included an Attendance Matters flyer from the Department of Education and an information booklet outlining all key examination dates in Year 11 and providing useful advice for pupils and parents.
