Rehill Cup 2018

On a wet and wintry afternoon at the Dub playing fields in Belfast, the Years 8 and 9 hurling team qualified for the semi-finals of the Rehill cup.

With convincing wins over Mercy College (8-03 to 0-00) and Glen Road, CBS (dnf) the young hurlers played a tough match with St. Joseph’s,Donaghmore to decide who would top the group.

A much stronger and physical Donaghmore team prevailed with a score line of 5-02 to 2-01.

St. Benedict’s will now play the winners from Group B in an Ulster championship semi-final.

Well done to all the players who represented the school with pride.

Team: A Mc Guckien, P Mc Closkey, SP Dowds, M Martin, O Loughran, P Neeson, M Kelly, T Mc Cann, P Mc Closkey, T Bonnes, C Mc Camphill, C Murray, C O’Boyle, C Mc Cann, J Rainbird, R Magill, J Robb.
