Dear Parent/Guardian,
We would like to inform you that all Key Stage 3 students (Years 8–10) at St Benedict’s College will be completing Connected Learning Projects via Google Classroom from Monday 30th March to Wednesday 1st April. This initiative forms part of our ongoing Transform Ed – Readiness to Learn programme.
Each year group will access a dedicated Google Classroom, where they will engage in projects based on three key learning themes:
My Future, My World
Healthy Mind, Healthy Me
STEM: Problem Solvers
The Google Classroom codes for students who may not have joined yet are as follows:
Year 8 – 7xcf4v2l
Year 9 – ki3noayp
Year 10 – wkfl7mgn
The timetable for the Connected Learning Project is attached for your reference. Students may decide the order in which they complete their tasks, allowing them to work in a way that best suits their interests and learning style. All completed work should be uploaded to their Google Classroom.
These projects are designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and personal development, while helping students reflect on their future aspirations and their role in the wider world.
We warmly encourage you to engage with your child throughout this process by discussing their work and asking about their ideas and future visions.
Key Stage 4 students (Years 11 and 12) will attend school in person on these days and will participate in structured revision workshops to support their ongoing examination preparation. They will finish at 1pm on Wednesday 1st April. We ask you to arrange transport home or provide permission for students to walk home.
Thank you for your continued support in fostering our young people’s growth as confident learners and global citizens.
Yours sincerely,
Bridin Loughran
Principal
St. Benedict's College
